Gloves…love.

Good morning, friends. It’s chilly, a fingerless glove kind of morning. Keeps your hands warm, good for typing.

photo-on-2009-12-03-at-0751I woke up an hour before the sun.  Aaaand there goes my train of thought.   A very nice man named Red just came over to tell me that he and his girlfriend think that I have the best smile in the whole world.  Getting a coupla little tears on the fingerless gloves.  Nevermind, no more writing for now.  I’m a puddle.

Well, one more thought.  I’ve been starting to see little bits of getting older on me.  Little wrinkles, coupla gray hairs.  No big surprise, no major stress.  This side of the fall, bodies break down, and keep going in that direction.  And I’ll keep taking care of it.  But I’d very much like to have a face all worn in and worn out with smiling and crying when I’m old.

Katy, we have never met. My name is Lee Ferguson and I am pastor of Trinity Presbyterian in Murfreesboro. Every 4th Sunday of Advent I preach a “narrative” sermon where I portray a character from the nativity. This morning I am finishing up the one for this morning, Joseph describing his encounter with Simeon. Listening to Still the Night, very beautiful, one of my favorite songs for Christmas. Helping with sermon prep as well. Thank you very much for this beautiful gift.
