Massive thanks to Josh Oakes, who fixed all of my technical problems with the blog last night. You should follow Josh on Twitter- he’s very clever. Probably moreso than I understand.
That said, I can now post pictures again. Here is the desk at the library at the Portico in the middle of the woods where I wrote two weeks ago. I am using one million little notecards to help me out. I am writing a story, and it is a much bigger endeavor than anything I’ve yet tried. I never aspired to write a book. But, well, a book told me to write it. I said ” Why don’t you get someone else to do it?” The book said “I’m in your head. Whaddya want?” “But somebody else would be much more efficient, and have much more organized thought and better words.” The book doesn’t seem to care though. it’s in me, and I am going to get it out. We will wrestle until we win.

I’m learning to read to the bottom before I post, making sure I didn’t leave half-sentences! It IS huge- I might make it smaller, but it’s kinda fun…
photos like this just make me happy inside: paper. coffee. pens. quiet. Yum!
